Yesterday we were young
when we were the (BRT) trinity
and we had dreams that united us
today not anymore
at least, for one of us.
That thing that seemed so far
has poked one in the eyes
and the joke that made three of us laughed
now draw a sour hiss for the standing two.
But then, when we heard that
twenty children can’t be playmates
for twenty years
We thought — immigration, marriage and professions
would take us apart alive.
Behold, we’re ignoramuses
We forgot “glorious exit”
Adieu, dear friend that exited so early.
We come to the world struggling to be this and that but the ultimate being has a plan we had no idea of.
Let’s give thanks to God and keep waiting for our time too while we fight to be the best we can be
